Katundu Primary School Thanks LFK for their Generosity

The teachers, parents, and students at Katundu Primary school were excited and appreciative of the support LFK shipped their way Mid-January.
The boxes Libraries For Kids, Int’l sent to Katundu Primary School finally arrived.
The rural school is about 35 kilometers from the nearest Mutomo town and about 80 kilometers from Kitui Town. The road is rough and untarmacked; hence the headteacher had to hire motorbike operators to transport the books from the post office to the institution.

The parents have embraced the project and even contributed some money to construct some shelves in each classroom where several books will be stored. The headteacher, Mrs. Florence Mbuve, is determined to see her students improve their reading skills. She was faced with several challenges at the post office and the local bank. However, this did not stop her from finding the perfect solution, and focusing on the fruits that she says, are worth every time!
